I do quite often. It happened again last night. A very pleasant dream, I tried to go back asleep and continue it, to no avail.
She was the love of my life and I have never found a replacement, after all these years.

Got killed by a drunk driver spring of 2007. The drunk only got a broken wrist. She was ran head on into a tree and died at the scene.

My dreams are so realistic, it boggles my mind. I wake to holding my pillow and I can still smell her scent..
Is it just me going crazy, or are there others that have them.

Yours could be a family member, friend or lost lover. I would like to hear your story.

A few years after my grandfather died (in the 80s) I had a dream about him that was so realistic that I could feel him hug me and I could smell his cigarettes. I have wanted a dream like this about my mom (she died in 2009) but I have yet to have one quite this vivid.

That's absolutely horrible, that's more like a nightmare.

I have not, yet thankfully. But I have had dreams of losing loved ones.

I'll dream about doing something with my dad and my brain somehow interjects that 'he's been dead for over 20 years' and *ZIP* out of the dream I go.
Seems like you aren't staying in a deep sleep.
Could be caused by many factors including (but not limited to): stress, diet etc.

I have dreams like this, but they often involve people in places I've never been. The setting resembles a park or place where people are passing by...similar to a train station. Some folks are actively engaged in discussions, others are just sitting, while others are just passing through. The people are often people I've never seen or had any interactions with...but strangely I can describe their appearances and the issues that are plaguing them (in great detail). Could it be something generated from fiction/movies? I'm not sure but I doubt it, as their stories are unlike anything I've never heard of before. The old saying "fact being stranger than fiction" comes to mind.

Recently I had a dream of a neighbor on a random Friday in late 2024. While being surrounded by his father and other family members, he proceeded to indicate his objections to a bad diet/unhealthy lifestyle of those around him (he, his wife and son all suffered from obesity and diabetes in life). I didn't know what to say or how to respond. After his brief interaction with me, he continued on his way with his family following him (all folks who've passed decades before). Prior to this event, I hadn't seen or heard anything from anyone in their family in at least 20 years.

The following Monday I did a google search where I discovered he passed away just a few days before.
I was at least glad I was able to notify my parents who were able to attend his funeral (I live two provinces away). They were also unaware of his passing until I notified them.

My Mom dreamed that my dad came to visit her and was going to come back and get her. I called my sister to tell her get her la__ As_ down there as see her. She did, and less than a week later Mom left with Dad. At least that is what I choose to believe. I hope it is true. They are happy. At he very least Mom got her good last visit with us and left content.

No loved ones but sometimes dream about being back in the Navy. Have to stand an inspection and can't find my uniform. Nightmare for sure.
