Burbanite, you may be right because I got it on the "clearance" at AutoZone last winter/spring. Still, I would find it hard to imagine that Redline did not meet A3 whether stated or not. Surely SL Durablend 10w40 is not more robust oil than my old
Redline 10w40.

You can also add Amsoil 5W30 HDD to the A3 collection. My brother-in law uses it in his Volvo 2.4 liter Turbo V70 wagon.

Several of the Elf synthetic and synthetic blend oils (not not talking about GC) are A3 rated in both xW-30 and xW-40 weights.

Schaeffer's xW-30 blend still states that it is A3 rated on its data sheets, despite the fact that they lowered the viscocity and HTHS.

Paul, I totally agree with you when you said that, "You would find it hard to believe that RL didn't meet A3". I guess RL decided to put the info on their bottles so we wouldn't have to keep calling and asking that question.

My remaining 2 case stash of Delo CI-4 15w40 circa pre-"mega moly" is A3..I usually mix it with Havo Syn 5w30 to dilute it a bit.

AFAIK, Delo is(or was) the only otc dino that can claim A3 in it's credentials.

Apparently nobody liked my ATFMO joke.

Actually I meant to come back to it, but forgot. Maybe not a joke. I already worry

that the ATFMO someday may come for my SL oil and CD-2 zddp Oil Boost. I could just see it, federal agents carrying cases of oil out of my cellar, all the neighbors gathered around gossiping about what's going on.

Vetteman, I hope you have this site blocked to government ISPs. Maybe Pablo has some SL stash and that's why he was being followed.

Pennzoil Platinum European Formulation Ultra 5W-30
Pennzoil Platinum European Formulation 5W-40
