Escapes look like they do the AWD/rear wheel thing right. Do 13-Present Escapes have that same DCT trans that the Focus does that stinks?
They have automatics and not the DCT. I haven't heard of the issue as much with the escapes, but some other AWD fords have issues with the PTU (power transfer unit). basically the small fluid capacity combined with high temps burns them up. Might not be as widespread with the escapes. I would look for one with the 2.0. A friend leased one with the 1.6 and while it was OK, hers was FWD and still not stellar power. The 2.0 with AWD would be perfect.
