All the commentary about used cars, to me, if you have the CASH, and can AFFORD the car (despite combat pay, military discounts, stipends, etc.) then the biggest question is how you can store it. If you have enclosed storage, a practical new car isnt a bad idea. If it will be sitting outside in a parking lot, it is another story, why subject a nice new car to that?
My wife's and brother's rabbit/golf TDI have been great cars so far.
I like the idea of a subaru. More interesting, all weather, quality cars. A camry is so vanilla. Id look for an 04-ish accord 4 cyl MT if looking for a car like that. Problem is that the deals on these cars are so poor, it may not be worth a purchase versus new or another vehicle.
