You can run whatever brand you want. I to want my cars to last a long time. We buy used cars that are between 4-6 years old with lower than average miles. As you can see by my sig I run the Valvoline, change at 5k religiously. Transmissions at 60k. Been using it for 40 years with no problems. All of my cars we have run for minimum 10 years with over 150k-200k on the clock before we get rid of them. The engine and transmission are always running smooth. The rest of the car is usually falling apart around me by the time we're done. New York salt speeds up the corrosion process.
