Looking for a good used truck.

I'm 50, my daily driver is a Mazda 6. But today I'm picking up a load of wood chips and I'm in my 1986 F-150. Yep, 1986 and going strong. Best thing of all, if I need to do real truck things with it I don't worry. So if I slip with the shovel and hit the side of the bed with it, no problem. It's not like I'm still paying for it for the next 7 or 8 years...

I look around and see the newer Dodge or Ford trucks and say, "Ah, those are real nice!" Then I remind myself that I already have a truck and it's paid for.

The Rat is a 94 long cab, 4.0/ 5 spd /4wd. It runs like it has 30k, the body says 330K I bought the truck for 600$ and I have replaced 1200$ worth of parts and the end is nowhere in sight. By no means a daily driver.

+1 for Keep Civic and Buy Old Cheap Truck. Drive the truck sparingly and it can last a long time. If you can find a 95-98 Toyota T100 that hasn't rusted out and isn't being sold for a fortune that would be a good way to go. i will never part with my beater T100 truck. Its just too durable, useful, and reliable.
