As the title says I'm looking for a 5-30 HDEO. I feel they all will serve my purpose so the next quest would be price. I don't do extended oil changes, well maybe slightly over OEM recommendations but come on in reality there isn't an oil out there spec'ed for the purpose that can not be extended.

So help me find all the 5-30 HDEO's available. So far I have:
Amsoil HDD 5-30
Castrol Elixion 5-30
Esso XD-3 Extra 5-30
Shell Rimula R6 LME 5-30

I would do a 0 grade in a heart beat. For some dumb reason in North Dakota you can not find a 0 grade.

Texas Refinery 5W30 is not an HDEO.
What about John Deere 0W40; or going across into Canada and getting Co-Op DMO SL 0W40?

I must be out of the loop, didn't know JD made a 0-40. Might be a contender although I would rather go the 30 route, trying for better MPG.

Keep the suggestions comeing as you can see there are some I wasn't aware of.

Please keep us posted on your choice. Would love to see some UOAs after you run a few. Would also like to see you try the T5 in 10w-30 if you might consider it.

IIRC deere's oil is made by chevron to deere's specifications.

TRC 5w30 has a HT/HS value of 3.5, has a TBN of 15, and an SA level of 1.8.

If that's not a HDEO, I don't know what is!!!

I don't know what you are looking at but this:
http://www.texasrefinery.com/images/lb-pro-specmulti-vis(3).pdf

is their 5W30, with a TBN of 8.5, and passenger car ratings.
They make 15W40 and 10W30 with TBNs of 15 and SA of 1.72% and HDEO ratings.

Yep JD Plus50II comes in 0w-40...but they are pretty proud of it.

I think they must have revised things because the latest iteration of their site and oils (the ones you quoted were SL rated) are SN rated and only TBN 8.5 for the pass. car oils.
the ProSpec III is still a super strong oil, even ProSpec IV which is CJ4 has a high TBN (more Mg, less Ca).
Google "Texas Refinery Corp" and go to Products and then " ProSpec Multivis oil" and you'll see the numbers i was quoting.
SA is down to 0.92%.

I think the USA and the Canadian site have different products...I'll be honest, I couldn't find the product I set out on the USA site.

Or, they just haven't updated the Canadian site, and they SN product is all they have....
