Last night, looking through listings on truecar, a 2013 c-max hybrid with 64k mi popped up at a Ford dealer about an hour away. For $10k.
Literally traded in yesterday.
Old couple in their 80's needed something taller, bought an escape.
Contact them right away.
First thing this morning a sales rep emails me.
I head up after work. ( Get there about 4:30, they close @5:30)
They haven't even cleaned it up, or "serviced" it yet.
Take it out, fits me fine. Plenty of pep.
I bought it.

Giving me $2k for the Sable.
I go back Tuesday to get it.
(Gives them time to detail and service it)

Nice looking car! Not a bad price for how it looks either. Kind of interesting that they posted it online so quickly and didn't even "service" it first. I'm always amazed at how many elderly people change cars. Seemed like every car I ever looked at was previously owned by an old lady who just used it to go to the grocery store and to get her hair done.

they called me yesterday afternoon, almost everything passed their inspection, it just needed brakes all the way around.
They had to order them(I bet they'd have 'em if it was an F150!), but they had gone ahead and sent it over to detail.

called me back this morning, parts came in, asked me not to come until "after 4" so they could get some other cars done....
whateves, it's my day off, not like i had a lot else planned for today...

I plan on being there at the stroke of 4. (which means leaving here around 2:45)

so before that, I need to go see my ins guy(I prefer doing things face to face vs the phone), and help one of my dad's cousin's widows program her new vehicle to her Garage door...(give me a quick refresher before i have to do mine)
