Hahaha! Yes, I am married! No kids yet, though!

I keep a li'l of everything just in case somebody has some stupid phobia (pennzoil sludge, etc) then I'll still have oil on hand. I only buy when it's super cheap so I really don't have too much $$ sitting there.

Yes, I do help take care of a bunch of cars for other folks too. Oh, and I forgot to add in the in-laws.... that's 7 Fords right there!

You know what's crazy? I've been thinking about buying another car... a 1st gen Honda Civic CVCC! A guy in my neighborhood has 4 of them. He collects and restores them. I'm hoping a few thousand bucks can pry a nice from him!

I think most serious Bitoger's start that way.

Wait until the latest and greatest super oil comes out and you want to try it but you already have 10 years worth of "old" oil on hand.....

It's not crazy! Years ago I used to work on Honda's and the early CVCC's were tough engines. It's odd, but the early 1200cc non-CVCC engines were rated as having more HP than the CVCC's. Plus the earlier cars were lighter so they performed better. Actually I still have a WEB-CAM high performance "280" cam and oil pump gear for a 1980 1751cc Accord. I think it will fit the early 1500's so if you want to go faster let me know!

One of the problems I had when hot rodding the older CVCC's is the upper motor mount "Dog bone" mounts to the cylinder head and when you shift hard it kinda tries to pull the head laterally the block. And having an iron block and aluminum head means the head gasket is designed to slip a little for the difference in expansion, so it's kinda weak in that area any way. But if you use the mount from a early Prelude (81-2 IIRC) the upper mount bolts to A frames that transfer the stress to the bell housing bolts. I have not tried that swap but would if I had it to do again.

Seems those small tires are getting hard to find around here...

I even have a 12 pt 10mm head bolt impact tool designed for those engines if someone needs it. Also worked well on pressure plate bolts.

Yep, I have way too much useless and/or antiquated knowledge..

Nice stash, BTW. It's probably better than cash in the bank since prices are increasing faster than any savings or checking account rate. Plus when you get it cheap or free after rebate.... :-)

Doesn't supply and demand mean anything for others?
Do you have any other hobbies?
Do you use inventory software?
Is that in your garage or in your bedroom - I don't need to know.
Do you have stacks of tires to go with that?
Just wondering if those are some common questions from your neighbors. Good grief - I need room for all my tools, fishing gear, motorcycle gear etc.

(add) did you see the sale on oil today? You might want to hurry...

It's a sickness for sure. Get a hold of it before it gets out of hand

Don't feel bad, we've all got a stash... maybe not 240+ quarts, but how about 150+:

Nowhere near the number of filters though!

Hehehehe!! That's along one wall of the garage, between my 8' reloading bench and the stacking/rolling tool chests. Now I need to make space for the compressor I'm about to get!

My other main hobbies are guns, electric guitars and basses, and saltwater reef tanks. I have man cave #2 upstairs where I keep the guitars, amps, drums, and more gun stuff. Here's a pic of the current rack of axes.

I do go a little overboard, I guess. Every hobby I get into, I just about go all-in. I bought my first gun on a Wednesday 7 years ago. I had never been shooting before in my life and didn't grow up around guns; I knew nothing about them. A week after buying my first gun I had bought four more and had a few thousand rounds of ammo across four calibers. (Yes, .22lr was like 75% of that round count though!) Within two months I had taken up reloading. A couple weeks later I joined a gun club.

It's been the same here. I'm still trying to soak up as much knowledge and wisdom I can from everyone. It's fun sharing some of the things I've learned here to help people get more life/value out of their automobiles.

I really appreciate all of youse guys!!

Oh, and the shoes are Eccos. Definitely the best shoe I have ever owned! I bought a pair in brown two years ago and wore them every day for a year and a half until I got a job that required black shoes. I got a black pair of Rockports and tore through those quick. The shoe in the pic is from the new pair of Eccos I got in black, which are now my work shoes.

I never thought I would spend so much money on a pair or shoes, but when this one pair outlasts three pairs of $50-70 shoes, it becomes a good deal!
