Local WM & RTS 5W-40!

Went in last week to get 2 more gallons of Rotella T Synthetic 5w40 for my winter oil change. Low and Behold there was not a gal on the shelves. I asked the so called associate about the 5W-40. He just looked at me and said "Ahhhh What Kind is That?" Had to take his hand and walk him over to the isle and babysit him...He called over another associate...They both huddled up, and came up with a very bright response! "If it's not on the shelf we don't stock it any longer" But told me too keep checking back. Needless to say, I just switched to T5 10w30 for my winter oil change.

Are any of your local Walmart not stocking the Rotella T Synthetic 5w40 any longer?

AZ & O'reillys both stock it, but @ $6 more a gal--->No Thanks!

I would stay on them. I don't know if they are too big to, but I would try my best to get them to get it back in stock. like daman said we still have shelves full of it here in FL. That is probably why although a 5W is all I would want to run with the temps we've had down here...cold! It was 74 today!

The last couple of times I hit WM, they had a couple of gallons of T6 on the shelves. I've been buying up T5 10w30 though.

I wish they'd just let you buy this stuff online. I'd be fine with paying a little more to just have the stuff dropped at my door.

When T5 jumped to $16 @ WM here it stopped selling-& it didn't appear to move fast before that.

Well I poured the T5 10w30 in yesterday afternoon... And fired the 7.3L up... and drove her 10 miles-->Highway! I have to say-->this 7.3L reacts awesome to the T5 10w30... Startups are unreal compared to 15w40 and even felt faster and smoother then my favorite Rotella T Synthetic 5w40... Idle was sweet and throttle response was even impressive... I think I will stick with this oil...! Now that I said that---->My local Walmart will quit stocking it now!!! If this happens? I will start ordering off the net, and have delivered to my door. I'm really impressed with the T5, this run might just have to have a used oil analysis run.

my local Walmart did a reset of the layout and really shrank the oil area down. they were without T5 or T6 for some time but it appeared to have been a backorder issue as we're fully stocked now

Well I hope in a few weeks they have it back on the shelf. I really don't want to order my motor oil... I will not go back to 15w40, after feeling and hearing how my 7.3L reacts to 5W-40 and now T5 10w30. If WM restocks it? I guess I will by a gal everytime I am grocery shopping. That way I have at least one oil change in reserve. U never know what this company is going to do next. Ya dang sure can't depend on them for anything. But their prices are so much cheaper per QT and Gal then AZ or O'reillys it's really a joke.

I have to eat a bit of crow here...Today-{SuN} I went to Walmart to get a couple bottles of PowerService for this upcoming Snow and Ice Storm coming in... and noticed 3 rows of Rotella T Synthetic 5w40 on the shelf--Woot!! I went over and thanked the associate 7ft away, and was going to buy 1 gallon just to stock up for my next oil change, and I turned around and 2 guys were putting 10 gals of the Rotella T Synthetic 5w40 in their cart.. They took every #$% Gallon!!! So I walked over and asked the associate to please order plenty more. He told me he would for sure do so... The price was $19-gal
