Lithium Battery Jump Starters

Guys:

Just wondered if any of you had experience with the new Lithium battery Jump Starters? Do they really have enough power to jump start a V8 with a completely dead battery?

Any insights would be appreciated.

Yes, i bought mine off the MAC tool truck at work and it works amazing. I cant remeber the brand right now since its in my toolbox.

Radio shack was clearancing them so i bought one.it will start my jeep with the jeeps battery disconnected

I have the antigravity brand. Works awesome. Be careful about buying the cheap, Amazon was flooded with counterfeit ones, some of them exploded during charging or jumping. I would order directly from antigravity.

I wonder how long they will hold a charge. Could be used for extended stays in the outback to power cell/sat phones etc...

Autozone has some for about $100 this month IIRC.

Last I checked, it was about the same price as Amazon too.

I read a few horror stories every now and then, but I have 3 of these and I use them quite often to jump start cars.

I've probably jump started about 20 cars or more and have not one of those horror stories to tell.

But I guess, I'll pay more attention and maybe switch to SLA type battery for jump starting.
