Give them their junk back.

What you want I don't thinks s sold commonly anymore:

10w30 Rotella T triple protect CONVENTIONAL.

What were you using for oil before?

Have you tried pulling the plugs and doing a kerosene or paint thinner soak?

Nothing will save the cat at that consumption rate.

Iwas using PP and m1.
problem with the car is the recommend dexos (gm4718m) not sure the issues not using the recommended oil
why rotella???
too much work to do that kerosene soak entire intake manifold has to come off

How about valvoline premuim blue or extreme synthic diesel 5w40??

Use whatever you can find cheapest. A good friend had the CTS 3.6 and after quite a bit of reading we found out it was a infamous oil burner. There's a pcv mod some say helps but he opted for SuperTech HM 10w40 until he could get it traded.

Should I be cautious using this cause it doesn't meet my cars requirements calls for dexos/gm4718

Depends on how it is consuming oil. If consuming via valve stem seals, then you need a high-mileage oil with seal conditioners. If consuming via rings, then they could be stuck, and you need to get them unstuck.

I'm saying I'm being cautious/concerned cause the car calls for dexos/gm4718 and the oil i mentioned above does not have that rating

I don't have maxlife 10w40 locally . I forgot to check for supertech . What do u guys think of rotella t4 15w40 or t6 10w40 I have locally.

Edit: Finally found what type of car.

Sounds like there is an orifice (which acts like a PCV) in the valve cover that gets plugged up and causes oil burning?

internal pcv system.... I already did pcv mod and didn't make a difference.

Well, it is a PCV system, just instead of a valve that closes, it is always open.

I think the advice you have received to try one of the Maxlife xxW-40 oils is good advice. As I side note, I have used the Liquimoly Oil Saver to slow down a leak in our Cadillac DTS. It worked well in that application, but I cannot speak on the subject of oil consumption because it does not burn oil. Good luck.
