Hi, has anyone tried this product, I find lots of info on ceratec but not motor protect, wondering if anyone has used this with good results.

Have you tried ceratek yet? Why would you choose Motor Protect over Ceratek, out of curiosity?
Hi the car is a sonata 2012, nope, no problems, just wanna keep this car for a long time. i am wary of ceratec, not a lot of people have used it, no amazon reviews or independent testing, plus read somewhere that it can cause spark plug fouling. mos2 seems fairly more reliable, and motor protect seems moly based.
I've been using Cera Tec since 2011 (90,000 km combined so far) at every oil change. Never had a problem with spark plug fouling - that doesn't even make sense unless you are burning massive amounts of oil. Cera Tec is TUV approved and independently tested and approved by the Automobil-Prüftechnik-Landau GmbH in Germany. That speaks a lot more volume than a bunch of people who know nothing reviewing it on Amazon.
What was the mileage on your vehicle when you first used it and did you notice any difference? isnt certec suppsoed to be used once every 60000 kms.
250,000 km on a Ford 4.6L when I first used it. Smoother operation, smoother revving and smooth as silk idling.
I spoke with the R&D Manager at LM, who suggested using it at every oil change for best protection. An extra $8 at every oil change isn't going to make me any poorer or richer, and it has proven worthwhile.

Thats the thing, i havent seen or read about anyone using it in a newer engine, I have about 50k kilometers on mine, I think I will give it a shot..

$8 for Cera Tec? Do tell. IT's usually between 24 and 30. It's suppose to be good for 30k miles. Does it not build up in your engine? Mind you, you do have a large engine...

I have 80,000 km on my Envoy, which I also use Cera Tec in. The results are the same regardless of age/mileage. I would use it in a brand new engine right off the showroom floor without thinking twice.

The current going price for Cera Tec locally is $13 a can. I bought a whole batch of the stuff through a wholesaler, which dropped the price to $8 a can.

That's great to know. Maybe the price will eventually come down here to. MOS2 sell for about $8 a can here...
