Liqui Moly Molygen 0w-20 or Castrol GTX Full Synthetic 0w-20 Cost doesn't matter

The quality of an oil has almost nothing to do with whether or not it’s the factory fill of a particular car. You do realize that the choice of factory fill is mostly based on brand recognition and a great deal from the bean counters from that oil company.
Still needs OEM approvals … if some elect to not conduct PoP testing - that’s the choice they made …

What's an application where Amsoil is guaranteed to have those benefits where the Mobil 1 or Castrol EP product would fall short?

Define "guaranteed".

I will say for 3K intervals within 6 months, won't matter what oil. Some things I have read here, so take it for what it's worth, I think BS compilation and another spreadsheet here, Amsoil tends to have lower Fe in solution per UOA than other oils. I'm not a huge believer in all metals in UOA are wear, so there is that - even at low mile OCIs.

Guarantee like manufacturer?

Honestly, I know you really didn't seem to like Amsoil, per your past history, so I think your questions may just be button pushing.

Take Castrol EP - have we really seen it abused hard, long OCI, fuel diluters, extremes?

I don't dislike Amsoil. I'm neutral/don't care.

Perhaps I should have phrased my question to better align with your previous comment as, "Which circumstances may Amsoil surpass the performance of products such as Mobil 1 EP?".

If I wanted a oil that had a lower pour point for trips to Nunavut or if I had a small oil sump and wanted a better oil with less burnoff especially if it was TGDi, or just ocd wanted something to keep the internals a bit cleaner and was going to keep it forever. M1 EP is a great box store oil and just like house paint they have to keep a lid on the price point to get people in the stores. Essentially, take away the Dexos restrictions, price conscious aspects, etc and those exotic companies can produce a very stout product.

Former member Gokhan was not a big fan of the SP rated Castrol ‘Full Synthetic’ 0w20 due to its ‘thin base oil and high VII content’.
See his opening post of November 2022 thread “Could Castrol Edge EP be the best 0w20 out there”.
