I do remember this part now that you mention it. Pretty sure I ended up spraying silicone spray on the connection to help.

How did you get the part so quick ? In my experience, Honda dealers don't stock that much anymore, even common failure parts. Luckily for me, Honda has a distribution warehouse less than 30 miles north of here and the dealers routinely get next-day deliveries.

I didn’t use an OEM part, advance auto parts had a Dorman version of the part in stock. So I went a grabbed it and replaced it. I figured, if the OEM on3 broke with such few miles, might as well try and aftermarket one and see if it does better.

IMO, it breaks based on how the people checking/changing the engine air filter handle the top cover and that connected intake tubing. It does not have a lot of leeway or flex in it, that's for sure !
