No argument here. Amsoil products are one of the top. More oil than I need. Far as that goes, I could just go buy ST and be done with it. What fun would that be?The Amsoil is a superior oil vs. Molygen hence the price difference.

Pretty simple really. Everyone defers to API licensed oils, Amsoil compares to their own licensed oils.I wonder why Amsoil conflates data from one product's test results with marketing spiel for another one of their products.
It's why I said of your choices try the Liquimoly. Bonus is it annoys many here so extra points. No argument here. Amsoil products are one of the top. More oil than I need. Far as that goes, I could just go buy ST and be done with it. What fun would that be?
No, they didn't. Amsoil's marketing spiel for their 0w20 oil (posted by Glenda) references two tests which tested their 5w30 oil and not their 0w20 oil. As I posted, they're conflating test results and marketing spiel to trick gullible people and Amsoil shills.Pretty simple really. In this use case Molygen. It's perfect for the shorter OCI and has it's friction improvers. But if you don't care about cost then I'd do Red Line above all.Which one of these two will protect my 2025 Toyota non-hybrid 2.5L A25A-FKS Engine better, cost aside. OCI every 6 months or 5000 miles, whichever comes first. Ninety percent short trip city driving, 20 to 40 mph. And yes, I know Castrol makes three higher grades of full synthetic oils. The Liqiu Moly is a pretty bright green though, which makes no difference. Your opinions and thoughts are welcome, but I'd like to choose between these two and I would appreciate BITOG input. Thanks
When in doubt, troll. It's why I said of your choices try the Liquimoly. Bonus is it annoys many here so extra points.
Yeah, Flying Texan, I do care about cost, but I just didn't wany everyone to say Castrol because it is cheaper. Red Line, Amsoil and the like are too rich for my blood. In this use case Molygen. Not uncommon in the industry and not exclusive to Amsoil. No, they didn't. X2 is 20 grade, X3 is 30 grade and X4 is 40 grade. No idea about X2. Follow regular OCI’s.
Not really, there was 0W40 X3.X2 is 20 grade, X3 is 30 grade and X4 is 40 grade.
Anyway, add me to list of "Mobil 1 EP or ESP instead".
Interesting, didn't know that. That's not how it is now so I wonder if they realigned their naming convention. Not really, there was 0W40 X3.

The printing is pretty clear. I mean if Amsoil was trying to fool people they would not have used the ASTM #'s or written any further details. Do you get so upset about all the TV ads for motor oil claims? No, they didn't. You have been bit hard by marketing hype.Which one of these two will protect my 2025 Toyota non-hybrid 2.5L A25A-FKS Engine better, cost aside. It goes way back. Al the founder and GM didn't get along at all in the 70's. That part is just silly. They would never be low bidder enough to be factory fill. Why won’t amsoil just commit and pay for a Dexos license? Maybe for once they’ll be a factory fill
Maybe in super cars or high end luxuryIt goes way back. Al the founder and GM didn't get along at all in the 70's. That part is just silly. They would never be low bidder enough to be factory fill.
For what? There are already mainstream brands offering solutions for supercar factory fill like Castrol Edge Supercar for instance, that probably still give those OEMs better pricing than Amsoil could due to scale.Maybe in super cars or high end luxury
Wonder about Lingenfelter since they have partnered with Amsoil.Maybe in super cars or high end luxury
