Which one of these two will protect my 2025 Toyota non-hybrid 2.5L A25A-FKS Engine better, cost aside. OCI every 6 months or 5000 miles, whichever comes first. Ninety percent short trip city driving, 20 to 40 mph. And yes, I know Castrol makes three higher grades of full synthetic oils. The Liqiu Moly is a pretty bright green though, which makes no difference. Your opinions and thoughts are welcome, but I'd like to choose between these two and I would appreciate BITOG input. Thanks

Yeah, you are probably right, I'll be in a nursing home or dead before this car is worn out. I still want to take care of it though. Thanks for the comment.

Pretty much any fluid that meets the GF-6/SP spec will do well for that OCI plan. And I mean ANY lube ... including ST and a slew of other house brands.
Given the typical penchant for BITOGers to ignore real data, and use their favorite flavor of ESO (emotional support oil), then pick whatever you like.
Just know that the engine will NEVER know the difference.

If you’re willing to spend the money on Molygen that opens you up to some pretty high end oils. Quite the opposite to GTX. Split the difference at Wally and get ESP 0W-20, also green or Castrol Edge EP which has some pretty impressive approvals like ESP.

Of those two mentioned, I can’t believe I will say this, but Liqui Moly.
You know JavierH19, I may make an adjustment here. I have had 3-4 of you BITOG"ers turn me towards the Mobil 1 EP and one said the Mobil 1 Truck & SUV. I just now was looking at reviews and Videos on Amazon for the Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w-20 and saw a video by a guy named "Charles Reinhart" with pictures and video with his Valve cover off his wife's Toyota with I think he said 160,000 miles. The inside of that Engine was AMAZINGLY clean! I may switch my choice to the Extended Protection Mobil 1. And on top of that, Mobil is a USA owned and manufactured oil with a "stellar" reputation.

Someone posted a picture of their valve cover using M1 with 10k intervals and I think it was over 200k and it looked pretty much spotless.
@MCompact has some long interval BMW pics that look nice.
I'm going to say that shorter intervals, like 3,500 to no more than 4,000 miles, would be better and I pick Liquimoly if cost were no object.

You are looking for a needle in the haystack. But, ESP 0W20 X2 (not EP).
Toyota naturally aspirated engines are very easy on oil. As long as you do regular OCI, anything API SP will do.
But, this is BITOG. So, ESP will have stronger additive pack, and since it is Euro oil, it will have most stringent approvals.
OK. I will check it out edyvw. What are they trying to say with the X2 in the name, twice the length of OCI? Thanks
