Not much of anything ppm, but it's thick.

I imagine the oil itself must be what is supposed to help? Obviously not much in it at all. Would hate to think this is just rebottled lucas since it seems to have just as much detergent in it.
Can’t say “obviously not much in it at all” because there are plenty of things in an oil that won’t show up on a $30 UOA, it’s been covered several times. You could say “either it’s got some great stuff that doesn’t show up, or else it’s just snake oil” and be accurate 😂

Yeah this company I won't give them the snake oil championship belt. I guess my question is in all sincerity is there a possibility that there could be something in there that's not showing on a basic analysis? And if so what could or would that possibly be?

You’d have to ask someone deeper into oil formulations, like MolaKule or David @High Performance Lubricants… they’d likely know what additives are probable but it’d still only be an educated guess.

Yeah I had used redline oil for the first 60 or 70,000 miles in this car. Seems that the 0-30 runs the best.
Sometimes people get lifter ticker and injectors confused. Many times it's the other. I believe it still has some use and customer support was very informative to explain that while Engine Flush works that going this route will be slower but do the exact same thing. Redline is thicker than most and the ester will clean and attach. No oil really runs quiet in a GDI 🤒

Tried this probably 5 or 6 years ago for a lifter tick in my Mazda truck. Didn't make any difference and now I see why. Cure was replacing all 12 of the hydraulic lash adjusters.

Not much to show on the VOA I guess, but I've had great success with this over the years; particularly in Mitsubishi and VW engines for some reason.
