These are very popular here. I'd say 75% of the cars in my bay have them. No idea who sells them but they are making a killing lol

No rain.
When I lived in San Diego, when it rained, I didn't go out that day. Whatever people drove on, did not resemble tires.
The issue is/was that SD gets infrequent rain. Oil tends to accumulate on the roads. When it does rain the mix is slick as ice.
 
Bought a set of 4 Lionhart's for my CRV a few years ago. They are wearing well, good in the rain/snow. Only complaint is that they've gotten noisy on the highway after 2 years. No cracking / split treads / bubbles / after 3-1/2 years in use. So, I just turn up the radio to drown out the tire noise.
