life was more fun when I was younger.

It’s fun being young for the most part anyway. I know because I am young haha. But paying bills suck wish I could be the same age and not have to pay bills or taxes. The hardest thing for me is trying to find a girlfriend I’ve not had any luck. I will by the time I’m old hopefully lol. The few things I’m looking forward to with getting old is having a family and moving out. But still even with a few bills life is easy right now except the stress of living at home and not always agreeing on things.

In your line of work it’s difficult to meet women, that doesn’t mean you can’t talk to women at local Piggly Wiggly grocery store or out in public / Starbucks.

I worked in a few hospitals over the years and always talking to women on the job, some were high quality and others were nut cases.

I certainly am not even in the same hemisphere of the "TayTa" demograhic. I am glad. Even my grandaughter can not stand her anymore.
I think she now goes by "TayTay?" What is that? From what I can tell the artist formerly known as Taylor Swift (the country music or teeny bopper, ex boyfriend bashing love song singer) no longer exists. Seems like there is some new entity that has taken her over and turned her into some type of a burlesque dancer / stripper on stage? WHY? It is all too bad as she seems to be trying to rebel against something? Self respect? Common sense? Morality? I thought she was pretty famous and a big success without losing most of her clothes like she is doing now a days.

In fact, I have no idea about her music - I haven't knowing heard any of it (being completely the wrong demographic) - but found this amusing nevertheless.

Taylor Swift and others are literally wrecking the underpinnings of our society.

Social Media teaching women and young teenage girls to act like a Diva or Queen, the entire world revolves around them.

Now some older women (age 50+) are acting like a Diva and thinking they are 25 years old and still at their prime.

Very sad and pathetic.

One place I worked I was the lone male in a department full of nurses and I can validate this statement.

I have to brag a bit - it's the one job I had where several women were interested in me for my body. Unfortunately, it was because the department was changing floors and they needed someone to move the heavy boxes...

The dating scene is a wreck right now. It seems like the young females have lost their minds, they just act crazy.

My 26 y.o. son is the total package. Very attractive (people mention this all the time), degreed, highly intellegent, athletic, sucessful, and doing very well financially. Hes a high school history teacher, soccer coach, and has a sucessful income producing YouTube channel too. Problem is, he is 5'11" instead of 6'4", conservative instead of liberal, and he is white instead of black.

Crazy females accept a date, but then they don't show up and/or "ghost" him. Or they show up once and act crazy and stupid. I call it the "Taylor Swift" syndrome they have. They want to hate and disrespct solid young men. Way too much attitude and they are not interested in the concept of marriage. Its just sad right now. Don't give up though, the right one will come.

I had some women think I was gay because I was sooo "nice and always a gentleman"

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

🤔 🤯 🤕 LOL

Luckily I avoided all these women looking for men treating them like dogs.

I am glad my two sons waited until they were in their late twenties to settle down and marry. They both have been happy married and with children, near to twenty years now in their 40s. Lots of times marriage at too young an age does not work out or last very long.
With the way divorce courts are it is even more important to wait. My grandparents got married at 18, so for me to be single at 34 is a shock to them. Times were different though.

My brother got married at 19. They had a bit of a rocky patch at first but now their kids are grown and the two of them are just thick as thieves. A lot of marriages go from bad to great if both sides are willing.

They want a project they can fix up. Especially if no other women can fix it. Of course then they get bored when they either 1) succeeded or 2) failed.

Those types have more problems themselves than the guys they're trying to fix. It's the blind leading the blind.

The lady has a friend that think having a wife will solve all his problems.... Some guys are permanently insufferable and they wonder why nobody wants them.

Doesn't a plane cost as much as a house? That's probably $180k right there? That boat looks old and probably only $45k
My plane might be worth half that, probably less. I had it advertised for $95K and it did not sell. Offers of $80K were turned down, but thinking about it now, those offers were probably correct. It's old, 1971. 143Kts whether you like it or not. About 10GPH.

But back to the OP's thoughts on life, I still have a blast and life has gotten better in a number of ways since I've retired.

Even at its age I bet it is at the pinnacle of a well maintained aircraft.

Don't planes have to be retired after a certain number of flight cycles or is that only jets with pressurized cabins,

I definitely would have taken the $80K.

I know you put lots of TLC into her.

No sense in selling it then. Although I bet it's not cheap to keep an airplane. Hanger fees aline are soendy I'd guess, but then again I don't know much about airplanes.

I just turned 45 so I barely grew up before social media and the tech craze. In sooooo many ways it’s ruined life for the younger generations. Comparison is the thief of joy looking at social media. I tell my GFs daughters this everyday and they don’t get it cause they’re mostly miserable.

I work myself to the bone and most of my money just pays the bills but the few hobbies I have don’t cost hardly anything: fishing, hiking etc and those keep me happy enough. In our economy if you can stay healthy, fed, clothed, and a roof over your head it’s all gravy IMO. You do you and don’t compare your life to anyone else but your own and to me, that’s what makes for happiness.
