life of engine oil?

hi, i could not find similar topic about life of engine oil. my question is, how long can engine oil be stored before pouring into engine? i just bought two boxes of engine oil.maybe enough for two years use.

Welcome to the site The oil will last 2 years unopened with no problems. Sometimes you can buy old warehouse stock that is past 2 years old. When I buy oil, I buy 4 cases at a time and never a problem.

The shelf life of a full synthetic PAO oil is a conservative minimum of 10 years.

The general rule I've been told is 4 years or so if properly blended. There are some local blenders here whose additives drop out before 12 months. I think the Shell FAQ page talks about this.
