Because some moderators are entirely happy interjecting the sdame old tired GM/Ford problems as some sort of lame "defense" for Toyota. "But they do it too". childish response I wouldnt accept from a ten year old, let alone a moderator on a car forum....

"GM knowingly continued to make 60-deg V-6s for around a decade, consciously deciding that it would be less expensive for them to keep on making them that way."
Same lame excuse Toyota by pointing out issues with other manufacturers.

Agreed. Looking at the numbers broken down my manufacturer from 1990-2010 shows that Ford actually has the most recalls. Toyota and Lexus fall far short of the "recall leaders".

The point I'm trying to make is that, while I get accused of "making hay". The same moderator seems to find a way to bring Ford or GM into many Toyota recall threads...coincidence? Ask him, when you ask him about the V6 quote from the Toyota rust thread.

I think he was referring to the ~95-03 lower IMG that almost always leaks within 100K miles. GM did take too long to completely fix the issue but generally automakers don't recall things like that which arent safety issues.

I think he was referring to the ~95-03 lower IMG that almost always leaks within 100K miles. GM did take too long to completely fix the issue but generally automakers don't recall things like that which arent safety issues.
If anything, a 60-degree V6 is easier to change the sparkplugs on, and I'll bet that most Toyota V6 engines are 60 degree. At least the last one I looked at seemed to be a 60 degree V6.

Well I don't know, I agree 60 degrees is the best angle for a V6, but I was just saying I thought ekpolk was bringing up the lower IMG:
