Lexus GS 0-20 factory oil

I have a 2015 Lexus gs350 that takes 0W-20 oil.

I have a few cases of 5w-40 from a BMW that I recently sold. Is there any harm to use that oil in the Lexus oil change.

I can't find a 5w40 recommendation for this vehicle in ROW (Europe, UK, Australia).

Mobil1 recommends ACEA c3 in Europe for GS350. So, it will be fine.

True, but 15w40 is acceptable in Australia.

To the OP, see UOA section for a run in my 2018 GS 350 on 5w40 Valvoline MST. Not a long run but did very well. I wouldn't hesitate to use your 5w40 in your GS.

I wouldn't do it, that car takes 0w20...it's winter.

If it were me, and particularly out of warranty, I'd use it without hesitation.
