Do not assume that Lexuses and Toyotas are identical. There is platform & part-sharing going on, but I can assure you they are not made to the same standards.
Lexus is low-volume and high-price, and they spend more time engineering and putting those things together. If Lexus & Toyota truly were identical, the stats on their reliability and defects would be the same....they aren't.
Yes, the ES350 is a Camry with lock washers......
Actually I have one and it shares most mechanical parts with the Camry. Engine,trans,chassis is all the same. The main difference is in the interior, standard features,soundproofing, and entertainment.
