Let's Talk About Colognes

I used to wear Aqua Di Gio about ten years ago because women seemed to like it. I don't really have interest in putting much effort toward picking up women anymore though, and it's hard to say whether it contributed much anyway, since I seemed to have equal luck without it. I was once even complimented on not smelling like cologne when I was over at a girl's place.

Either Shell V-Power or a dab of GC (green of course!)

For the times when these are generally unacceptable (rare), I am currently using:

Paul Sabastian
Aveda por Houm
Hugo Boss

I like anything with a light spice or citrus scent. Musks just make me smell, well,....musky.

Really? I don't wear any cologne & don't see the need for it. Wife agrees. There are too many people that cologne bothers.

I myself like:

Obsession
Aramis
Cool Water
Brute(yeah!)
Fahrenhyte

She used to loveeee smelling me when wearing Fahrenhyte, then she bought me Dulche & Gabana - Blue and prefers I wear it. It's not bad :}

Dang, ya'll know a lot about this stuff. I have a bottle of something called RSVP that I've had for a couple of years now -- it's about halfway empty. Girlfriend likes it so I only put it on for her.

Before this I probably went close to a decade with no cologne in the house.

Ole Skool,
Pierre Cardin
Aqua Velva Blue

It's not really cologne but I use Axe Dark Temptation or Axe Proximity Bergamot. My girlfriend enjoys it, and that's all that really matters to me.

I went back to Drakkar from the '80s, always get good compliments from the women when I wear it.

Buddy of mine didn't have much money when he would go out, he would go to 7/11 and use the samples from a magazine. You know, the ones with the folded over page you open to see what it smells like. Rub that on and then go out.
Wow, what kind of cologne is that?
It's new, "page 86"!

Right now I'm using Lacoste Challenge.

Before that I had Armani Aqua Di which is a really nice and light smelling fragrance.

The thing about cologne is that it's cheap compared to how many uses you get out of it. $60 a bottle will last over 1 year of daily use. That's $.16 a day. How can you argue with that!

A female friend gave me Kenneth Cole Black, Armani Code and Burberry Touch and I like them. The Touch seems to get more comments from the ladies. The Black is a bit too strong for me. Armani Code is right in the middle.
