Nice LS. I wish my paint would get that clean after two touchless washes.

Wow, poor truck doesn't look like that anymore.

The old Dakota, hard to believe 20 years old. Had to take off the shell to fix the 3rd brake light. Went ahead and painted the shell with duck coat from Menards. Problem is not sure if I want to put it back on full time now, the truck runs very nicely down the highway without it.

I'd leave it off, that style of shell doesn't fit the lines of the truck.

Truck looks great. I don't see many in that condition anymore.

This one actually came from California, via Maine. It's the only one I've ever seen with no rust. I drove one in 1980 and said one day I'll have one. It took me a few years, but I've been summertime dailying it now for 14 years. couldn't be happier

Ah yes. A 1981+ VW SportTruck.

I bought a new one in 1980.
Diesel.
4Speed.
Smaller engine.
Different headlights.
45 mpg.
I could take a MicroVan in a drag race.
Traded it in at 150k miles.

:D
LOL...I was a kid.
I knew you never had to change the spark plugs...real smart.
But I thought it was zero maintenance, as in you never had to change the oil.
