It doesn't have to work very hard to put down more go than the V6. The four extra cogs doesn't hurt anything either. The spool-up is pretty much immediate and it just flies. But it can't match the V6 exhaust note.
That’s my hard thought decision process I’m looking at both ecoboost and 3.7 stangs. I’d like the exhaust note of a manual 3.7. Maybe even install a high-flow exhaust.

4 or 6 cylinder? Got nothing, but warm memories about my 2008 Mazda6 2.3L/5MT. Especially loved the 500+ mile fuel range and comfortable seats for long highway trips.
it's Mazda6i car; yes i'd described it as a GT car; right my Accord in signature is a sporty car not so great at long distances as Mazda6i is

extremely reliable as well; I've owned it since 2010

Every 60k-80k my thermostat stuck open and required replacement. Yours had that yet?
Nope still original thermostat; however, I replaced its starter at 240k miles and mine is auto if that has something to with the thermostat

And that’s today mileage; it’s 2008 model, some time in April 2008 was produced; I got it at 49k miles at the time and I’ve paid a whopping $11K for it back in May of 2010

very nice color!

two questions: how firm is your ride, and do you like the car and its ride please?

TY
Thanks! The color has really grown on me over the past ~ 3 years of ownership and I've really loved the car in general. For your average sedan, it handles and brakes quite well. Compared to the '07 G35x I owned previously and my '98 3-series, I wouldn't say the ride is excessively firm or anything. I haven't found that the 19" wheels negatively impact the ride all that much either, it just puts me a bit more on edge for pot holes (which frankly is probably good regardless of how much sidewall you have 🤣 ). I was planning on keeping this for a long time and wanted a pretty base spec model, so this fit the bill well. No sunroof, heated seats, tons of tech, etc. to worry about down the road but some basics I was looking for like a leather steering wheel, Honda Sensing and some slight visual upgrades.
