@OVERKILL the CAR may have the big engine in it, it sounds like some kind of racecar when started and drove. Could just be an exhaust but. IIRC, R/T is the "naturally aspirated" big engine one while SRT8s have Superchargers? 6.1? 6.4 on those too? I don't know my Chryslers. Except that I was in a Supercharged 300 that was stupidly fast, and felt like it wanted to beat anything on the road, that my impression as a passenger ..
Both look like R/T's (5.7L).

SRT is available in the naturally aspired 392/6.4L and the Hellcat/Trackhawk/TRX with the 6.2L Supercharged. There are a few other packages but those are the basics.

The R/T Scatpack also has the 6.4L, but without the upgraded SRT interior.

Nice.. So the 300 my mechanic has. Something about the 15psi.. (18psi?) is that a Supercharged or Custom app, did they make any SRT8 300s like that? Was that one 6.1L? Or also 6.2 (that car felt like it could walk anything.)

They are using that one as one of the dealership "advertisement vehicles" now.

No, the 300 was never factory supercharged. If it's an SRT, depending on the year, it would be a 6.1L or 6.4L.

I'm gonna have to ask him about that one. I suspect some kind of "built" motor. (This the fellow with a Viper or two.) Again, some kind of shenanigans but to very good result lol...

I heard the Supercharger whine, and I sas told 15-18psi boost. I could be misremembering but I dont think I am. Was sporting a Mishimoto radiator that year.. possible 2013 ? I can try to ask, that car is back out being driven to and fro.

Looks like the SRT air extractor hood, that's why I commented ;)

Think that's an appearance package for the R/T though, no?
2018 and up R/t models come with the srt front end, just to help confuse people lol. The tow and go package is even more confusing, it literally has all the srt stuff down the the suspension, just not the 6.4 lol.

Good grief! Was not aware of that. That explains why I've seen so many of them, I just figured it was a popular package, hahahah.

GM experiment in composites - along with the Saturn Brand.
I hear these can be fun with the V6 out back.
Never drove one.

If it's a last year what was it 1988? How long were these around for, 4 years ? V-6.. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Older with the 4-cyl. I hear were problematic... pre-OBD2..

Wasnt it shared parts with an MR2?

I think someone put an LS3 in one.

No Toyota parts! I think it had some Chevette and Citation GM bin parts. Pre '88 That would be Pre OBDI
That era, I prefer pre OBD fuel feedback carburetted or wet TBI engines.

What was wrong with the Pontiac Fiero?
Poor reliability and performance, expensive maintenance, and an awfully heavy and under-powered engine did not help the case either. Motor One calls it the worst sports car. Anyways, the number of reported fires was so huge that the cars had to be recalled. One Fiero exploded out of every 508 cars sold**

I think a Saturn Sky redline turbo would be better for U :

Bah. I have to go re-read now. Somehow I always thought MR2s were a joint Toyota/GM venture like Matrix and Vibe.

If it was a joint venture what would be the GM car with the same platform?

I bought a MR2 in the eighties, it was O.K. nothing great but pricey. Heavy somewhat numb steering, buzzy engine that wasn't that powerful or eager. Then there was the fall apart shift cable linkage that almost killed me on the highway.

When a transmission goes into two gears at once you just hang on for the ride and slide. When it happened going over a bridge on an interstate at 75mph in the left lane, there be MORE drama.

So, I have a no love for these con-TRAP-shuns.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_MR2

Thought maybe it preceded NUMMI with some kind of Geo venture. Seems I got my Chevy Prizm/Geo Prizm (Geo went away in 1997) Toyota Corolla triangle, as well as Fiero and MR2 both having mid engine placements, looking similar, both having 4s.. conflagrated.

"Toyota with buzzy engine" describes almost every Toyota I have experienced, and if a Melted Bar of Soap Supra Turbo is supposed to be a Holy Grail, some reviewers drove them and they weren't really that fast, the speed must come from BIG TURBO POWARRRRRRRRR aftermarket in a 7M-GTE...
