Replaced the egr tube and fixed a few things yesterday. Trying to figure out why it doesn't want to start.. have a new coil on the way and hoping that's it as I did find a crack in the coil.
Now that we have the Focus the Aspire is being recycled. All the suspension, engine and trans is going in the Festiva and the shell is going down to the farm. Saving the title just in case for the future.
Man, if that is an SE then you have the red version of my Aunts car with the Zetec and the funky shifting trans that always jumped out of gear. What 5W-20 do you use? EDIT: I see PYB. Aint that a bit thick. PYB? Or is SN thinner
Its a nice car if it runs right, but you say it wont start for no obvious reason? But when you drive it.. peppy aint it.
Would you recommend someone to consider the 02 Focus as an inexpensive used car, or DONT BOTHER RUN AWAY TOO MANY PROBLEMS?

I'm sorry, but you put a decent amount of work into that Aspire - it deserves better than being turned into a parts car when it runs fine!
Many here have mentioned it is hard to find 'bargain' beater cars anymore - decisions like this are why! Why not sell it to a student that needs cheap wheels?
Hes right! You can get almost $1000 for a car like that that sips fuel. Maybe less given condition, but, still. Its a great first car! Their value goes up. That and Geo Metros, Suzuki Swifts, Ford Destivas, amd Honda Civic DX hatch and CRXs. Maybe even Toyota Paseo, anything tiny that sips gas. Dodge Omni doesnt count.
