I purchased a set of two 16' strip lights (5050 RGB) for my daughter's room. I realize that each are ideally connected to one of the connector wires near the power source.

However, is it safe / possible to connect one of the 16' strips to the other via the use of a connector?

Thanks in advance!

You mean the stick on LED light strips that you connect the + and - wires to?

i used these for custom under cabinet lighting. I set them all up in parallel. each got its own run back to the power supply. This way I got consistent brightness and a cleaner install (used a terminal block in my basement).

If you’re doing long runs, I’d want to look at the application guide to see If they have a recommended distance. While a single little LED won’t have a big draw, a setup as you describe may have a brightness gradient from one end to another. How noticeable it will be I can’t say, you’ll need to do the test..
