I've been using Katana LEDs in low beams in both cars, happy with their performance. I got them awhile ago and I think they were 6K lights, not the current 6.5K.

GE made a rare oem 4600k bulb used in some Cadillacs.
There are no bulbs that are 40,000 lumens. That physically doesn't exist and is absolutely made up. A 55w oem bulb typically puts out around 8,000 lumens.
They are $$$ but I went with SL2 Pros from Diode Dynamics in the wife's Nissan juke. The cut off is good and they do not scatter. OEM housing is projector.
I would have loved to do a real retrofit but had no luck finding one for the juke.
They claim to focus better than other offerings. I cant verify that as I have only ever bought 1 set of aftermarket LEDs, But I am happy with them.

If the light source in the housing is out of focus, it doesn't matter how bright the bulb is - you won't have a focused hotspot of light to shine down the road where you need it. Instead, you'll have more glare, which lights up the foreground and makes it harder to see in the distance. Maybe depends on the brand mine are a whitish with blue hue
