I know Turpentine is made from Pine sap, and is a pretty good solvent. This product sounds interesting and might be very good at cleaning up varnish in an engine.

Going to try it?

No I'm happy with MMO. But if enough positive feedback comes in and the price is right I'd give it a shot. How about you?

I think MMO is awesome. I do try to keep an open mind though and if this product shows some good results here and the price is right I'd consider trying it.

Currently two of my three vehicles see severe service, with lots of stop and go, and short trips. For me the MMO is a plus.

I'd give it a shot in the tractors, especially during the winter. If the M1 is doing a good job keeping things clean in your other vehicles, no point in changing anything.

Come summer im switching the tractors over to Plus-50 so i think that'll keep things clean but to start out to get them cleand up i may try MMO.

can you use MMO i na diesel?

It can be added to the diesel engine oil. It can also be used in diesel fuel [IF] the engine is [OLDER] than 2007. It is not advisable to use in diesel engine fuel if the engine is newer than 2007.

This is only because of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel requirements. MMO has slightly more sulphur in it than ULSD allows, so they cannot recommend it for use in diesels that require ULSD.

That said, it is just slightly over, so little that it would likely never cause any issues.

Compression tester is relatively inexpensive compared to some of the tools I have tested my marriage with. I tested a 2.4 dodge stratus after Engine Restorer with no gain. I have had a 10+ psi gain with seafoam therapy in a gooey cyl. I had a decrease in consumption as well. I will try the Miracle Mystery Oil next in the change.

These additives & solvents will only increase compression if carboned rings or seats or some lifters are the problem. Mechanical/metal wear, in crown valvles seats lifters or cams need a mechanic. A good solvent is a cheap place to start, but if compresssion does not improve would not mean the sovent does not clean.

Ahhh, good ol' terpenes- love the smell of 'em. Yes, I agree, it may in fact work well but it would probably work too quickly for my taste. Just my pair of Lincoln coins.

Its a purge. It needs to work 'too' quickly, needs to be used with new oil, and needs to be changed 10 minutes later.

Hopefully, we'll see new 'plant' and/or 'animal' oil/fat/grease made products being used in lubricants, additives, flushes, fuels......
