I used Swapalease to have a person in Texas take over my Highlander lease. I had done some checking and the fees were pretty high to post the vehicle. They wanted $600.00 for their Swapper Club Premium which I had researched before calling. I was able to negotiate that price down to $250.00 with no problems at all because of the checking I had done.

The car "sold" quickly with the buyer and I doing all the paperwork along with Toyota Financial, who the lease was through. They are basically a Craigslist type method of handling a lease and they don't do any paperwork at all from what I recall. They notify you when someone is interested in your vehicle.
I do have lifetime use of the site if I were to inquire about anything listed there. I am not sure if I have to pay any more fees if I were to list a different vehicle.
Never had a problem with "shady fees" or fake listings. My car had good response and I was able to do a deal within 6 weeks. Some of the delay was Toyota Financial insisting most paperwork had to be done "snail mail" so it was going from Toyota to the buyer in Texas to me in Ohio for signatures. Toyota Financial did all the credit checks and approval on the new buyer, and the buyer had to pay Toyota $250.00 for all paperwork. It didn't cost me anything other than postage on the paperwork and the Swapalease original fee.
Remember that not all car leases can be assumed by a different person. Some can not be done out of state, some can not be done within a certain amount of time before the original lease were to end, and different financial institutions and different car manufacturers all have their own rules. Different states also have regulations and rules.
I was very happy with my results, and would use Swapalease again in the future if I had a lease to terminate early. They had the best reviews at the time, which was around December of 2017.
