Illinois Vehicle Inspection Report and Certificate

1992 Volvo 944, 2.3 Test type: IM240

Both tests were in done during the month of July.
The first test was before FP usage, the second after about a year on FP. The first test was shortly after the most recent tune-up. Same gasoline used, same conditions of operation. Both tests were considered a PASS.

Test #1) Standards 162 (numbers reported in grams)

130,000 Composite Fast Pass HC = 0.750
Readings = 0.509

Composite Fast Pass CO = 8.379
Readings = 7.860

Readings CO2 = 4.525

Test #2) Standards 109

145,000 Composite Fast Pass HC = 0.455
Readings = 0.171

Composite Fast Pass CO = 3.419
Readings = 3.371

Readings CO2 = 273.600 [/LIST]

Thanks Bill J., I'm really interested in hearing what our resident experts can say about this report! Did you do anything before or during the first then second tests, such as tune ups, other additives. plugs, wires, you know anything that could of changed the results between test 1 and test 2? Great response so far, thanks everone!

I was mistaken about the most recent tune-up. It was in fact at 120,000 miles, not 130,000 as I stated above. I also use Lube Control, full dosage: 2 ozs. per quart of new oil fill, then 3 ozs. every one thousand.
