Lawnmower Oil ?

I have a small lawn, only takes 15 minutes top for a cut .If the mower states a straight 30 weight would it be beneficial to use a good 5w-30 or would you stick with a straight 30?

I recently discovered that the Mobil-1 5W-30 HM does excellent in my Briggs 6.5 hp Toro, and my Kohler Courage V-Twin motor`s.

i have put 375 hrs on the kohler using ams syn 15w-40. with qsgb 30 it seemed to use some oil. now no oil used over 50hr oci's. i also use this tractor winter times. love this little engine.
