Laser Printer Problem

The kids had to do a school project and I was out of color ink for my old HP deskjet 835C. Wal-Mart didn't have the cartridge for it, but they had a Canon with both ink carts for $29.99. It works great, but is now out of ink after year. It costs about $40 for both ink carts and you can get the whole printer for $3o. I hate to throw things out that work, but it doesn't make sense financially to replace the ink.

Most of the cartridges that come with printers are "starter" carts, and do not last as long as replacement cartridges.

I have one of those D-Link print servers too. Works perfectly on my Brother HL-5140 and I don't see why it wouldn't work on any normal printer (but not the multi-functions).

These were regular cartridges. They lasted me over a year. I see that a lot of them now have lower capacity cartridges now.
