Does anyone know if there is a longer, larger version of the Purolator PL24651?

Specifications:
Anti-Drain Back Valve Yes
Height 3.73
O.D. 3.77
OD TOP M22-1.5-6H
Relief Valve P.S.I. 8-16
Thread Pitch Special
Type of Filter Spin-on

The 24651 looks to be pretty large to begin with. What's it for?

Is that bypass range correct? ... seems pretty broad (8-16 psi). They are usually only ~2-3 psi in range.

Puro's can vary, but 8-16 is one of the more generic offerings.

Yes, bypass setting can vary from about 8 to 16 psi on various filters, but I've never seen one listed for a specific filter that has the range of 8-16 psi. Like I said earlier, it's usually something like 8-10 or 12-14 or 14-16 ... meaning it's usually about a 2 psi range on the valve opening.

If a specific filter actually had a 8-16 psi range on its bypass valve, then that's a pretty sloppy valve spec IMO.

If so, it's a very large range. As I've tried to say a couple of times, the range from closed to fully open is usually only 2 or 3 psi ... not 8 psi.
