I need a 12 gauge fusible link, but all the parts stores carry 14 gauge as their largest size. Even the dealer was no help. I've seen spools of fusible link wire for sale on ebay in every size imaginable, but I'd prefer to have a ready-made link with the appropriate connector on the end of it. This is for the main output wire (8 gauge) from the alternator, and yes, its shown as a 12 gauge in the shop manual.

Anyone ever bought one of this size? Thanks in advance!

Just piggyback the fuselinks until you get the diameter/gauge you need. 12 gauge is the proper fuselink size for an 8 gauge cable. An even better solution is to get an ANN/ANL/PAL fuse holder with the appropriate fuse and solder that inline in place of fuse links.

Hmmm, yeah, that's what I'm trying to avoid. This car has too many splices in its wiring (from previous owners), so I'm trying to eliminate them wherever possible. Between the junction block, I want to have one fusible link, a factory-style splice, and a continuous length of 8-gauge wire all the way to the alternator. Currently there are a bunch of crimp-on splices at each end.
