Saw these pools at wal mart earlier today. Thought, wow that is a low price for a disposable parts washing container.

Of note, a funnel in the auto section at Wal Mart is about the same price.

Cement mixers use these to poop out the last (or first?) bit of concrete that isn't suitable for construction.

If I used one for ATF (tempting), I'd then have to figure out how to store or dispose of it. Probably cut the walls down and fold it into a hefty bag.

I had a giant tub from HD for transmissions or when you just gotta pull the lower rad hose (I almost always avoid disturbing plastic petcocks) but recently diesel seemed to attack the bottom. It got really wavy and soft. Thus I need a replacement.

At $2.50 the pools could be disposable, and I like the mixing tub concept also!! Agreed, the pools might be difficult to drain (I use a funnel into old 2.5gal HDEO jugs)....plus you maybe look like a pedophile :(

Good excuse to break out the OMT -- I've done this to dispose of old tubs or anything plastic and large!
