Land Rover LR3 transfer case fluid

Getting ready to change the transfer case fluid on the LR3. Can't remember last time it was done, at 239k now. I was reading this thread:

so it looks like DTF1 type fluid should be compatible, but it's full synthetic. The LR factory stuff is a synthetic blend. I'm leaning towards going factory since its worked this long, but curious what people here thought. I've also seen people have success with Royal Purple Synchomax.

DTF-1 is exceptional fluid. PAO and ester based. Ravenol DTF is also good.
But like you said, it worked so far.

Getting conflicting stuff now on if the LR stuff is synthetic blend. I think it's full synthetic, it's probably the same as any DTF1.
 
For the price I wouldn't be looking further. I used Ravenol in our BMWs last time only because it was cheapest I could find a couple of years ago. It works great too.
