I going to change the oil on my dad's 03 Accord 2.4-4cyl which calls for 5W20. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any full synth 5W20 available in Canada to my knowledge. Mobil 1 0W20 is not available here, and I don't see anything from any of the other manufacturers

.

Should I just go with a thin 5W30 like Mobil 1, or does someone know where I can get some 5W20 full synth?

You should be able to buy Mobil 1 0W20 synthetic at Canadian tire. I live in Ottawa and it is available at all canadian tire stores. I know toronto canadian tire stores also sell it. You ca also telephone order (or online) amsoil XL7500 5W20 synthetic oil ( group 3 ) from amsoil that is shipped right from toronto.

Cdn Tire also stocks Mobil 1 0W-20 here in Ottawa.

PartsSource stores sell all Mobil 1 oils and there are two of them in London, ON. They've got 0W-20, 0w30 and 0W-40 and have a deal on now: buy 5 litres, get 1 litre free (case of 6 litres for $38.45; reg. $46.16).

I have no connection to PartsSource and this is not an ad.

It's about time someone else other than Noco started carrying M1 0w40 up here! I wonder if CT stores will get it soon too? (since PartsSource is owned by Canadian Tire)

Castrol Canada has Syntec 5W-20 listed on their web site however I don't know how easy it will be to find in auto parts stores. I believe that Syntec 5W-20 is a group III synthetic oil. Castrol Canada Web Site
