Hey Guys ...

I got set of KYB Struts/Shocks for 04 Mazda 3 ...

2 of them are Made in Japan
One in China
One in Spain

whats funny design between China and Spain is different ..

China has longer "shaft" that chromed piece ... that goes in to shock ...

and Spain has shorter .. there was not include explaining to not return parts because essentially they are same ... weird lol ...

I would return the odd ones and get a set all made in Japan , I think I would regard those as the better made .

Differences in construction could also effect how they perform .

I don't think its possible this was sent directly from KYB ...

They probably don't make all of them in Japan ...

It's a little fishy.

I assume the China and Spain are supposed to be the same. I would order one more, and return the non-matching one. Hopefully the vendor will be helpful.

"I would order one more, and return the non-matching one."

I actually like this plan. I wouldn't want a non matching axle.

I contacted vendor...
They are correct part numbers thew was note from kyb explaining everything :) ..

I contacted Vendor and KYB ...
I Bought this in US ... and now I'm in Canada ...

I guess if they are tuned same this should be no problem ...

Glad my Monroe shocks I just put on my Truck, Jeep and my 5.3 are all made in the US. at least for now.

Made in Japan KYB shocks and struts are quality OEM replacements.I would insist on each and every one of them to be Japan-made. Vendors usually do not advertise the country of origin on their websites, they can not even answer CO questions sometimes.

I bought a couple of KYB struts for my car last year. They were GR2 type and shiny silver in color.

Tokico is at least as good as KYB in shocks/struts, as long as the products are actually made in Japan.

The tokico I bought was made in China (Integra) but the KYB I bought was made in Japan. Feel the same and both seems to work fine.

IMO I wouldn't put a mismatch set from different origin on the same axles, especially if they do not look the same in design. That's just trouble a few years down the road when they wear differently.
