Kumho Solus Xpert KH20. Manufacture dates?

Good Day Everyone,
Ordered some of these tires for my 99' Mazda Protege LX recently from Discount Tire Direct. Did alot of research on my choices. Hankook H727/General HP's, Cooper CS4's etc....One thing I failed to realize on these Kumho's is when were they manufactured? I don't want to receive 4 new 2yr. old tire. Kumho doesn't have them on their website. Anyone have any info on these tires? (I was looking for a good handling tire w/a decent ride quality. Thread life is not a concern b/c the car doesn't rack up alot of miles per yr.) Depending on your responses, I may cancel order and get another tire instead. Thanks, Bill.

New Tires dont really age when stored correctly (and dtd stores correctly) Wouldnt worry about it much unless its 3years+

Whenever I buy tires, I ALWAYS specify that I want tires made within the last 3 months, I want them NEW!

I ask them to check date codes and let them know it matters to me.

I have had good experiences with DTD's customer service. Give them a call back and I am sure they will give you an answer and/or make it right for you. They did for me when I had a problem.

I may give DTD a call after work tomorrow. I did ask for a set of their newest batch, but....who knows. I will say I've ordered a couple of sets of tires from DTD previously and have been pleased w/their products and service. For some reason I really like the thread pattern of the KH 20's. Looks like a very good performance tire. Winter weather conditions are not its forte obviously. $226 OTD delivered from DTD is not bad. Thanks for your replies.

Called and got a call back promptly from DTD. Was assured they turn over stock often and if the tire were old (how old exactly didn't say, didn't press) the warehouse wouldn't send out. We will see when the tires arrive. Overall, pleased w/DTD's professionalism and past experiences w/them have been good. Thanks.

Receieved the tires and the date DOT date code 1113! Couldn't ask for newer tires. I thought these tires were "discounted" but on DTD the tires are "On Order" from their three locations. I'll be replacing some Pirelli P4's which have plenty of thread but are aging. (Coming up on 7 yrs. No cracking which I can see.) I'll post my thoughts on these tires on a later date. Bill.
