A little off topic, but I would recommend a block heater for the winter. My 68 JD 3020 diesel won't start below 40. Lots of people hit them with either but the block heater is a better solution for the engine. Plug mine in for 45 minutes and the engine fires off in bout 3 seconds.

Now that you guys got me educated on this oil and I do appreciate all the good help I decided to go with the 15w40
diesel oil I was going to get the Delvac but they were out of stock so they had Delo 400 which I have used drums
of over the years maintaining fleet vehicles with no issues. Then I saw the synthetic blend was only about 80 cents
more per gallon. So I went with the Delo 400 XLE 15w40 blend and a wix 51034 filter.
