I am interested to know if anybody out there had ownership experience with one of these Kubota's? I currently have a Hew Holland TC18 that is a 3 cylinder diesel with 4wd and would like to upgrade to a 30hp tractor with a loader.

I don't have any experience with that size tractor. I do have a Kubota M108X which is 108hp. It has been very reliable. I'm looking now for a 50hp to 60hp tractor and I'm leaning towards the Kubota M5040 with front wheel drive. I have been very happy with the Kubota equipment.

I had a older Kubota tractor, I forget the model, however it was probably around a 90 model or so ( I had this around 1994) and it was a 30 hp tractor. You could plow all day, or mow on 5 dollar of fuel, the engine was outstanding never used oil, nice sound to it as well. It had a two speed PTO which I never used the 1000 rpm, it was one of the finest tractors I have ever owned. The only problem I had was it was light on the front end, it could have been corrected by weights however I never did that so it would rear up easy when pulling logs etc. I just wanted to chime in on the quality of Kubota, if they have not changed they set a new standard of small diesel utility tractors.

I ended up with a Ford 4000, and that still was not really big enough for what I was doing playing farm boy.

Don't own a Kubota tractor but the wife's uncle has one and loves it. He's a real old timer and has owned Case and Deere tractors all his 80 years. Didn't want no "foreign jobs" as he called them. Then a couple years ago, he saw a good deal on a used Kubota 50 h.p. range tractor with a heated cab for winter ploughing and went for it. Best tractor he's ever owned according to him. He's been converted.

I own a Kubota diesel engine that been running my power plant for 27 years without so much as a hiccup. Numerous oil changes with HDEO and a couple coolant changes, valve lash adjustments and one new fan belt. That's it. I do run a splash of diesel fuel conditioner when I refill the fuel tank.

Kubota is one of the best, if not the best small diesel manufacturer out there. You will not be disappointed.

As a young fella I worked for a neighbor who had a small horse farm. He had just bought a new compact Kubota 4x4 with a front end loader. I believe it was around 30hp. This was 1985. I worked that thing hard many times, buried it up to it's axles in the mud/manure (had to cable winch it out a few times!). That baby would run all day on a small amount of fuel and never skipped a beat. As far as I know that tractor is still in the family and going strong. Yanmar is another good name. Yanmar diesels are head/head with Kubota.
