Read the manual as to oil change interval and other service and you will be fine. Usually manufactures suggest that the first fill oil be changed a 5 to 10 hours and then 100 hours per change. Ed

Don't go by the Manual for oil changes in the beginning. When I bought my 2 Honda lawnmowers through the years I would do the lawn 1 time, 1 hour and dump the oil. It had a silver glidder look to it with 1 hour. Good to get the first crosshatching "knock offs" out of there. Then I would do the lawn 2 more times and 2 hours and it was drained again. Glidder there too. Then at 5 times and after that I would go the rest of the season in Minnesota. Then the next year I would do a mid season drain and after that I would go the full season on an oil change. I use synthetic after the first season. I spent a whole $9 on oil. With no filter there is no way I am leaving oil in with only one early oil change. And 5 to 10 hours is way too long for a first dump in my opinion. Not for the massive price of $9 for three early flushes.
