I would agree that for some reason(s) unknown to me the price of a minivan is ridiculous compared to other vehicles one can rent. I rented a Subaru Outback for a week in Alaska for a vacation the wife and I just returned from. The girl behind the counter tried to convince me that our 4 pieces of luggage wouldn't fit in the rear of the Outback. (She must get a commission for upgrading). They wanted a $100.00 additional for a RAV4. REALLY?

Very impressive mileage if it was winding out, up every hill. Are you sure it was AWD?

Years ago I had a 1976 Plymouth Volare with a Slant Six. I would drain oil out of my Harley and put it into the Plymouth. When I wanted to take it to the junkyard, my buddy and I had a little fun first. We used a 2x4 to hold the pedal down, wide open throttle in an attempt to blow up the motor. The motor would not blow. It stopped running with a whimper, and after it cooled it just started up again like nothing happened.
