I'd still never buy no-name, cheap batteries. I only buy batteries for fobs and similar in person - and I look for ones made in Japan - or from Amazon and specifically listed as made in Japan. Maxell batteries are good for this. If the listing says they're from Japan and when they show up, they're not, I chat with Amazon to a) notify them of the bad listing and b) initiate the return. I used to buy batteries (in person) from Parts Express when they sold made in Germany VARTA. They make them in China now.... After Japan, Indonesia and Taiwan are "acceptable" alternatives.

Thing is there's not much choice in CR2412 Li batteries. The single Panasonic I bought was $10. There were perhaps 12-15 to choose from with different quantities. I certainly don't need 4-8.
Local gunsmith was half the price of the dealer. Fob works like a charm. He even cut the spare key too.

Which battery does it use ? Our new(er) Toyota uses a large 2450 in their key fobs. Is that the # you meant ? I found Panasonic batteries but I can't recall where they're made. I want to say Indonesia and I was never able to find ones made in Japan.
I bought a used “virginized” key fob for a 2017 Prius off eBay and used the Toyota software in the ThinkCar app to program it into the car. I think Autel and XHorse key programming tools can “virginize” the fob and write the new fob serial number/codes into the immobilizer ECU and PCM.

Do have have Ace Hardware stores near you? I got a 2018 Silverado key there, cut and programmed, for $100. You can look on their website and find which stores can cut your key and maybe have it in stock already.
I doubt an Ace Hardware can program a Lexus fob.
It's just a Toyota. The fob's internals are probably common with other Toyota models too and Toyota is kinda a popular/common model.
Mazda dealer did one for $375. Of course, we found the one we ‘lost.’ What surprised me was it still worked. I thought it would have to be re programmed to match the other two.
Probably true but would likely cost about the same as the Lexus dealership. I've checked around and found a local locksmith....$400.

BMW dealer charged me $235 just two years ago. Much better spent than time running around trying to find some workaround to save a $50 bucks.
From what I've experienced, you can add another fob to the Mazda computer module. If you need to program only one you need at least two fobs. You having more than 2 is why they didn't erase the old codes.
My friend's 16 CX-5 only came with one fob (used car). Went looking for a 2nd fob. I was able to get a new genuine Mazda fob (online dealer) and the local dealer only charged $95 to erase codes and program both existing fob and the new one. Had a locksmith cut the spare/emergency key that goes inside the fob. $127 for the fob and $95 to program (locksmith gave a freebie to cut the key) I thought was a good price.
I had an Ace hardware store cut the key in a key fob. The key did not work. Bought another blank key fob and took it to a locksmith. He cut the key properly.
Showed him the key fob Ace had cut. It took 10 minutes between laughing at how poorly the key was cut and explaining that they probably never calibrate their key cutting machine. The locksmith said he calibrated his every 6 months. And the locksmith had several key cutting machines. Lesson learned.

The other "watch out" with coin batteries is the "childproof" bitter coatings some apply. Many devices are not friendly to those. I have had issues with BMW fobs and Apple Airtags. I ended up buying a box of 100 each alcohol prep pads from the drug store ($3) and clean off the coating thoroughly, including the edges and no further issues.

Many times the note about the coating is just a small symbol or printing on the front or back corner of the package. It is easy to miss, expecially on the larger multi-packs.
Appologies, I'm super late on this one, but I've had good luck with replacement keys from Bell Lexus of Scottsdale. Nice pricing as well. Enter your VIN, search for "transmitter" - odd Toyota terminology for "key."
