I know Kendalls been around for some time. But does anyone still use it. Any feedback. I acutally saw it at Autozone for 2.09 a quart.

Just an FYI:

Kendall, TropArtic, and Motorcraft oils are all Conoco Phillips products with similar, but not identical chemistries. They're mainly synthetic blends, at very reasonable prices. In my area, Kendall is difficult, but not impossible to find.

Kendall is just a brand now sold by ConocoPhillips. If you want to use oil produced at the old Kendall refinery in Bradford, PA get Brad Penn oil.

It's a regional thing for some reason.

5w30 and 10w30 can be had in the Buffalo NY area for anywhere from the $2+ range per quart to $0.99/qt a few times a year. I've always got a case or two of 5w30 on hand. Word has it, it's a decent oil. No cratered engines for me yet.

All the Firestone Stores use Kendall for their oil changes. They carry it in bulk. This would include the Tires Plus stores if you have them in your area. $18.99 oil change, filter, fluids top off, and you cna watch 'em to make sure they do it right. Can't beat it with a drum.

I am just looking for a good syn blend under $2.00

To my knowledge, there aren't any others in name-brand syn-blends under $2 -- outside of the Conoco family of oils.

I've used Trop Artic and Kendall without issues.

Kendall is the only CP syn blend product that uses a unique additive package. That subsidiary of CP has had a long term contract with lubrizol for many years and is currently using an advanced additive package. It is the best deal of the CP oils, and if you can get to a Firestone store or Tires plus for one of their cheap oil changes, DO IT!

Mannix: you said that about Castrol what inside info. do you have on CP. I think some of your statements are really off the wall and without real facts to back them up. WE have to many people on this site giving out bad information... we dont need you to add to it.

There is nothing "off the wall" about his statements. "Off the wall" would be "Kendall is the only CP brand that uses distilled oil from the hypothalamus of Siberian yaks in the base oil blend."

Local GoodYear Gemini shop has been changing the oil in my fleet cars with Kendall oil for years. Last time I was there, I watched them open a new 55gal drum of 5w20 to use in my 06 Chrysler mini van 3.8. Have gained a lot of respect for these Kendall oils over the last 10 years or so.
The new SM spec'ed oils really hold up well.
Had other oil in this van once or twice, just did not seem to hold up as well. Got dirty and thin much quicker.
Cant wait to get the new Taurs-X in for some Kendall!
Fleet says 7500 OCI. Hummmm, I think 3K, 6K, 10K, then every 5K is what it will get.
bigbull2984, Yep, lot of us use and like Kendall oil today.
Take Care

Who will be the first to correctly answer this Kendall trivia question?

The question: What does the Kendall symbol, a fist with two fingers extended, symbolize?

(Hint: This symbol was first used many years ago.)

TWO-thousand miles, the receommended OCI for Kendall back when everyone else was saying 1000 miles.

And later it meant two choices, detergent and non-detergent. At some point it also meant double action describing the additive package.

I've never heard of these before.

I noticed that the new Kendall product data sheet specifically touts this product for use in all driving conditions.
