kendall price...

I just purchased 2, 12qt cases of Kendall GT-1 Full synthetic 5w30 from my local wholesaler and it cost me $52.59 per case. They told me a price increase was coming in the next week or two. I KNEW I should have bought a few cases when it was $42+ a case last year. I only bought one case of each, 5w-20 and 5w30. I have one Ford (5-20) and 3 GM's (5-30) in the family. Darn...

I initially considered this oil (in 5W-20) for my FX4, but price and availability (only Pep Boys carried it) made me choose another oil. I really wanted to use it, but it did not make fiscal sense to do so.

How do you like it?

I like it a lot and the more UOA and VOA's I read of it it looks better and better. It's about the same price for other full synthetic oils at walmart per qt and I like to keep my local guy working... (not likely an oil wholesaler will go under, but I feel better.)
I don't think around $5 a quart is terrible. 6 qts of Syntec is almost $40.

Local. I looked up local marketers on the website and they listed the ones in my area. I called and asked if they would sell by the case, they said, "sure come on", and the rest is history. I think I'm going to inquire about their generic "Conoco" brand just for giggles.

Good prices but shipping can be a killer. Looks like 2 cases proivides the most economical shipping cost.

FWIW, I can get the GT-1 Synthetic blend here in PA (northeast) from Autozone at $4.49 per qt.

Wow thats pretty high price for the synblend, you can buy it cheaper from a place online in PA from the link above.

Kendall used to be (perhaps) something special when it was an independent outfit. Kendall is now part of ConocoPhillips, and Conoco, Phillips, 76, and Kendall oils are now all the same except for the label. Good, but nothing special. I'd certainly use any of the CP oils, but I wouldn't spend much effort looking for them.

Kendall is the only CP oil that has titanium.

I recently purchased two cases of the syn blend for $60 from this guy who said he was getting paid by BP to send them samples of the oil every month.
